Hemp Seed Omega Bites Recipe
Looking for a nutritious and delicious snack to fuel your day? These Hemp Seed Omega Bites are packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats, making them the perfect on-the-go energy boost. Plus, with hemp and chia seeds, they are a great source of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids. Here's how you can make them:
Ingredients:
½ cup hemp seeds
½ cup dates
1 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt (optional)
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ cups rolled oats (gluten-free, if necessary)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup hemp seeds (for rolling)
Instructions:
Blend the Base: Combine ½ cup of hemp seeds, dates, water, lemon juice, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon in a blender. Process until smooth.
Mix the Dough: Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl. Add the rolled oats and chia seeds, stirring until evenly combined. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for at least 1 hour to firm up.
Prepare for Rolling: While the mixture chills, pour 1 cup of hemp seeds into a shallow dish and set aside.
Form the Bites: Once the mixture is ready, take it out of the fridge. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture at a time, roll it into a ball with your hands, and drop it into the dish with hemp seeds.
Coat the Bites: Roll each ball in the hemp seeds until fully covered.
Chill and Store: Place the finished bites on a plate and refrigerate until ready to serve. Store any leftovers in a lidded container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
